Dr Nicola Millen

I have been a full-time partner at Oaks Healthcare since 1992. I am the diabetes and research lead in the practice. I co-ordinate the teaching of medical students in the practice, currently from Southampton University, which involves the whole of the clinical team. I am married with 3 children (twins +1), enjoy cycling and walking (gentle, country), painting and sailing with my family.

Dr Teo joined Oaks Healthcare on 1st October 2016. His special areas of interest are General Medicine, Treatment of Diabetes, Cardiovascular and Respiratory Diseases. He is also a GP Trainer.

GP at Oaks Healthcare . I trained in London and qualified in 1996. Worked in Battersea for 8 years and have also worked in Queensland Australia. Moved to Hampshire with my family in 2011. I work part-time . My interests are sexual health and contraception.

Dr Harriet Aneke-Ogbu

GP Partner, attended Newcastle University where I studied Biomedical Sciences and then attended medical school at the University of Aberdeen and qualified as a GP in 2019.
I did all my training and have worked as a GP in Aberdeen.
I am married with two children and we are in the process of relocating from Aberdeen to Hampshire.
My areas of interest are women's health and teaching.
I am currently enjoying being a new partner at Oaks Healthcare.

Susie joined Oaks Healthcare in October 2022. She graduated from St Mary's Medical School London in 1993. She then trained in General Medicine and Rheumatology, before becoming a GP in 2003. She then continued to work as a Rheumatologist alongside General Practice. The last 10 years she was working at Royal Surrey County hospital and then Frimley Park Hospital, until the end of last year. She has a special interest in Spinal medicine and Sports and Exercise Medicine. She lives with her husband and 4 children, enjoys running, especially hills and mountains, and loves riding a horse.

I completed my medical training at the University of Bristol and then went on to complete my GP training in Devon, fully qualifying in 2006. I worked at the Swan surgery in Petersfield for the last 14 years and joined the Oaks in March 2023. I have a keen interest in women’s health, particularly (now I’m of a certain age) the menopause.
I am also extremely passionate about lifestyle medicine and I have a particular interest in gut health (most disease processes can be linked to the gut) and harbouring a positive mindset. I like to take a holistic approach to patient care and you will often hear me talking about many aspects of self help encompassing the four pillars of lifestyle medicine: nutrition, exercise, stress reduction & sleep.

I qualified at Arrowe Park Hospital on the Wirral in 1986 and worked in Runcorn as a staff nurse on surgical, ITU and the minor injuries for 10 years
I joined Brookvale Practice in 1997 as a practice nurse and gained diplomas in Contraception, COPD, Asthma and Diabetes
I completed my BSc in Advanced Nursing Practice in 2004 and my Nurse prescribing the same year.
I completed my MSc in Clinical Nursing in 2007 and became a partner at the practice in 2014.
I have 2 grown up children and a beautiful grandson who has brought me to Southsea.
I have 2 cocker spaniels and a grandpuppy cocker spaniel whom I love spending time with on long walks.
In my spare time I love DIY and you will often find me with a hammer in one hand and a screwdriver in the other and my passion is running.
I have completed 5 Marathons including London twice and like to run with my son and daughter.

Di Wilde
Advanced Nurse Practitioner
Joined the practice in July 2017. Di is a trained specialist nurse who can provide treatment and advice for many problems for which you may have seen a doctor for in the past. Main areas of expertise are in the management of common illnesses and long term conditions. Di cannot treat children under the age of 2 years, or expectant mothers, both of whom are referred to a doctor.

Diabetes Nurse Specialist

Caryl Goldstone
Diabetes Nurse Specialist I qualified as a RGN in Plymouth 1994 and after initially working in a wide range of hospital areas, I moved to Portsmouth and into Primary Care in 2002.
Since then I have worked as a Practice Nurse in a surgery in Portchester and during this time developed a keen interest in diabetes.
I qualified as a Nurse Independent Prescriber in 2018 and moved to Oaks Healthcare in 2019, where I have taken on the role of Diabetes Specialist Nurse.
A member of the Queens Nursing Institute, outside of work I enjoy keeping fit, socialising and walking in the country with my family and dog.

Chris Fehrenbach
Chris is a Respiratory Nurse Specialist who joined the practice in 2011. Prior to this she was Respiratory Matron at Queen Alexandra Hospital. She has over 30 years experience caring for people with lung disease. She has lectured both at Portsmouth and Southampton university, and also has extensive research experience. Undertakes the role of Nurse Advisor to the British Lung Foundation.

I joined the practice in 2006 as a Healthcare Assistant and Receptionist. As my training progressed, I decided to undertake my nursing training at the University of Southampton and qualified in September 2017.
I started as a Practice Nurse in September 2017 undertaking clinics and treatment room duties
I am qualified to do dressings, phlebotomy, injections, ear care, contraception. This is constantly changing as I increase my knowledge, training and my competencies. I will soon be expanding my role being able to complete compression, dopplers and cervical cytology screening.

District/Community Nurses
Our District/Community Nurses operate out of Denmead Health Centre. They provide skilled care for patients who are unable to get to the surgery. They are trained to assess the needs of the elderly for services in their own home. They report to the doctors and are overseen by the Community Matron.
